A superb fun packed meeting this evening at Netley Abbey 6989, when brethren of the Lodge of Peace and Harmony visited en masse to witness the Second-Degree ceremony of one of our members carried out by the brethren of Netley Abbey Lodge on our behalf.
The ceremony was carried out in an excellent manner by the Master and his lodge officers, much to the satisfaction by both the candidate and the brethren, who packed the lodge room to watch this little used procedure.
An excellent festive board, themed to celebrate St George’s Day, followed with a first-class meal shared by the brethren. This sharing of candidates between lodges creates a special bond of brotherhood and frienship, not only between individual brethren but lodges in particular and one that cannot be forgotten.
We look forward to Netley Abbey brethren visiting us at some time in the very near future to continue the friendship between us.
Our next fraternal visit will be this coming Tuesday when we shall be crossing the county border to the Masonic Province of Dorset to visit Kinson Masonic Lodge 5331 for their Installation meeting.
